Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
- Advocacy: Consider speaking as an advocate on behalf of CCLT and affordable housing at public forums. We will provide training and information about Community Land Trusts and the affordable housing crisis in Clackamas County.
- Work parties: We do gardening work parties throughout the year at CCLT homes. In 2005, we'll be organizing teams to install rain gardens (bio-swales) in our new Phillips Creek Place neighborhood on Fuller Road in Milwaukie.
- Committees: CCLT has working committees that help determine the direction of the organization. Examples of committees are Homeowner Services, Finance/Audit, Fundraising and New Projects.
- Board Service: Elected by CCLT members, the CCLT Board of Directors is a nine-member working board that represents our homeowners, the general public and community representatives.
- Homeowner Workshop Trainers: Do you have a special skill, like carpentry or plumbing? We want to offer workshops to our homeowners so they can take charge of their own home repair projects. You don't need to be an expert, just know the basics.
- Office Help: CCLT needs help on a regular basis with newsletter mailings, information packet assembly, data input and filing.
CCLT Board Meetings
Everyone is invited to attend the monthly CCLT Board Meeting, which begins
at 6:00 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month in the Homeownership Resource
Center.
CCLT volunteers work in a casual office environment
and are free to set their own schedules. We’ll work around your
other commitments when we can! Please fill out a Volunteer
Interest Form so we can match up your interests with our opportunities.
