Clackamas Community Land Trust announces Smart Growth Buyer Initiated Program

The Smart Growth Buyer Initiated program is designed to preserve affordable homes in existing neighborhoods.  To participate in the Smart Growth Buyer Initiated program, people must complete the CCLT requirements (click here for the Steps to Homeownership), then identify their maximum mortgage amount with a lender.  CCLT provides a grant for its purchase of the land.  The buyer works with a realtor to identify a property in the target area that fits their needs and their budget, with CCLT purchasing the land and the buyer purchasing the home.

  • assist low and moderate income people in their efforts to become homeowners
